Tutorial enable Ping on Windows server.
Follow the steps below to enable pinging on the server with Microsoft Windows operating system:
First, go to the Windows Firewall settings section in Control Panel.
On the left side of the Windows Firewall window, click Advance Security to navigate to the Windows Firewall with Advance Security window.
In Windows Servers 2008 and later, you can type Firewall in the Start menu search section and go directly to the Windows Firewall with Advance Security window.
Click the Inbound Rules option on the right side of this window.
Now click on the New Rule option to define the new Rule on the left side of the Windows Firewall with Advance Security window, Action section, the New Inbound Rule Wizard window will open for you by click on New Rule option.
select the Custom option and click Next, from the options on this page.
In the new window, do not change the settings and just click the Next button.
In the next window, set Protocol type to ICMPv4 setting and click Next.
Do not change the settings for the next three windows and just click the Next button in each window that you are redirected.
Specify a name of your choice in the Name field for Rule and click Finish.
Make sure your that rule is Enable. To do this, right-click on the Rule in the middle of the Windows Firewall with Advance Security window, and select Enable Rule.
